2008-08-16 - Joel Osteen's cd
Wonderful cd. Has a lot of problem solvers that are in our every day life.
2008-08-08 - Self Help
Maybe his wife should read it. The FAA would probably buy it for her.
2008-08-05 - Read the Bible
Joel is a great public speaker. He is even a great motivational speaker. My problem is that he is a pastor of the largest church in America and uses bible verses taken out of context to justify his philosphy. A lot of people will listen to him and think that is what Christianity is all about. At the end of each broadcast he has a little 18 word prayer that assures his listeners that if they prayed that prayer then Joel believes that they became a Christian. Paul said in Colosians that is we just believed in Christ for this life then we are to be pitied more than all men. I pity the person that listenes to Joel and thinks his rhetoric is biblical..Tell me what you think about...The Palace Theatre

Awesome, awesome, awesome! Changed my life. A must read for everyone. I read it from library and had to buy it to read again and again whenever I need a little positivity in my life.
2008-07-24 - Very Uplifting and Encouraging!
I absolutely love this inspirational book by Joel Osteen and I hope you will too! "Become a Better You" is uplifting, encouraging, and reminds us that God is always in control! After losing my mom in January of 2007 there were days when I could barely get out of bed, even as a strong, faithful, Christian. My mom was my best friend. Losing her rocked my world and left a hole in my heart the size of a giant crater in the earth! When I first saw this book I was amused by the title as it is so similar to the name of our Web site that I founded in 2001, [...], and our monthly newsletter "Living a Better Life." Several weeks later I finally purchased the book and wasn't disappointed! I quickly learned that Joel had also lost his father and realized that whatever some critics were saying about this book (that it doesn't include enough scripture), or Joel's ministry, I would think the good that he IS doing to help people out of depression or whatever other difficulties they may be going through will cover a multitude of things he may fail to provide. And, NONE of us can be everything for everyone. Only God can do that. - Michelle Jones, [...]
